Critics were incapable of discerning Limbaugh’s modesty, which was typically wrapped in satire and humor. Indeed, it was Limbaugh’s humor, ranging from self-deprecating to false self-aggrandizement, that so many of us came to love.
We had the secret decoder ring, and Rush could bring instant joy to his 80 million followers at the drop of a hat. Rush brought so much joy and validation to so many, and that was the true measure of him as a man,
It Isn’t a Crime to be Right
The passing years only serve to prove Rush was, indeed, correct “99.5%” of the time. The left didn’t despise Limbaugh because he was wrong, they feared him because he knew them like “every square inch of his naked body”.
Whatever leftist narrative being spun by corporate media Rush Limbaugh had the amazing ability to predictably deconstruct the dramatic “news” into separate (well worn) emotional components of easily disprovable lies and exaggeration. Symbolism over substance . Sure the Democrats hated Rush Limbaugh, because he made a good living telling voters what Democrats had became – the party of trust fund communists.
Always the Optimist, Always the Patriot
Listening to Rush Limbaugh was a great way to spend a couple of hours because he always made a person feel like anything was possible if you just worked for it. The person, the nation, it didn’t matter. You just couldn’t sit on your couch waiting for good things to come to you, you had to get out there and make it happen.
As Rush was so fond of saying Conservative sees each individual having limitless potential regardless of where you were from, the color of your skin, or where you were born.
This is the exact opposite worldview of the Leftist who sees everything through the depressing “victim” / “oppressor” matrix that pits everyone against each other based on immutable characteristics and preordained economic status.
Rush understood that together you could do anything if you are treated as as a individual. The left sells a dystopian falsehood that teaches people they are without self determination, and that the only hope they have is to hate anyone who doesn’t look like them or dares disagree with them.
Who was Rush Limbaugh?
Many people (Podcasters, YouTubers, Radio Personalities, Entire Conservative News Outlets) have kept the flame alive that Rush Limbaugh kindled so long ago. The spirt of Rush Limbaugh lives on, in so many ways he is more powerful than ever.
I am so thankful that Rush Limbaugh went against the status quo and risked everything to do what he knew he was made to do. Rush Limbaugh was a man who led by doing. I’m glad we had so many years with “El Rushbo”, and I know I am not alone.
